Who We Are

Waaree Technologies Ltd. (“WTL”), formed initially as a partnership on October 6, 1993, was converted into a public limited company named ‘H.K. Trade International Limited’. As part of the Waree Group, it specialises in energy storage, focusing on supporting sustainable futures with advanced lithium-ion battery systems.
Since its inception, WTL has become a leading provider of “cell-to-system” technology for clean energy. It serves a diverse customer base in various sectors, including telecoms, electric vehicles, energy storage systems, and others.

A strategic shift to the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) business begins.

A new joint venture with NEEPCO (Waaneep) forges a path toward India's energy goals.

Waaree acquired the remaining 40% stake in Waaneep Solar from NEEPCO to make it a fully-owned subsidiary.

Launched global EPC, divested Waanep Solar, initiated manufacturing, & expanded franchise network.

Manufacturing capacity expands to 2 GW, with our franchise network soaring to over 250 partners.

Achieved a global capacity of 13.3 GW, 1.6 GW in the US, listed on NSE & BSE, and acquired ENEL.

Began trial & commercial production. Won 2 PLIs for electrolyser & green hydrogen production.

Entered instrument trading

Began trading in pressure, temperature, and velocity.

1990

Waaree Instruments founded

Commenced manufacturing of precision measuring instruments.

2007

Forayed into the solar industry

Ventured into the solar business with a manufacturing facility.

2011

Launched the EPC business

Expanded operations and delivering turnkey solar projects.

2014

JV with NEEPCO

Formed a JV with NEEPCO for implementing power projects.

2017

Acquired Waaneep Solar

Acquired the remaining 40% stake in Waaneep Solar.

2018–2019

Began global expansion

The Waaree network empowers a growing solar community.

2019–2021

Scaled-up operations

Increased solar module capacity to include more partners.

2022–2024

Achieved significant capacity growth

Major expansion in capacity and backward integration.

2024-2025

Commenced trial production and won PLIs

Trial and commercial production began, and PLIs were won.
